Polls Online one of the easier ways to make money online is to get paid for giving something away. The polls can provide you with fairly exact data on the people who go to your page, and if you are a small business who is desperately trying to give your clients what they want, a poll can do a lot to help you figure that out.
Why should advertizers use the polls
Knowing what your target market really wants makes all the difference in targeted campaigns. One advantage site polls provide is that you don’t need to wait until the poll expires to see the results. You’ll be able to see your poll’s results as they come in; the unique streaming technology tells you when answers are coming and you can see them accumulate. The immediacy of the poll is definitely one reason why so many people use them, and with a little bit of work and forethought, you’ll be able to see why these tolls are so important to the emerging business.
How can advertizers best use these polls to research target audience
When you put a poll up, you will be able to reach out to everyone in your potential target market. You can ask them questions regarding what layouts they like best, what kind of products they prefer to use and what they think about you and the services you provide.
For each poll, you are allowed to ask one text-based question and provide five different answers. When you have formulated this question, you will submit it to site, which will charge you a small fee for each answer you want to receive. Many people want their polls to top out around 100 answers, while others prefer to get a significantly larger sample size. When you are working with what products will be in your fall line up and which ones will be cut, you should remember that the more relevant respondents, the more accurate and useful your poll will be.
The systems needs a bit of setup, but can be quite profitable and is a proven way to earn with CPA offers.
It works a bit like this:
#1. Get a poll idea
Go to somewhere like the Yahoo Buzz index and look for a popular event. Could be sports, political scandal, NBA etc.
Identify a couple of prominent people associated with the event. This iedea is that the epole who visit your site will be more likely to relate to the people in the event than the event themselves. This “connection” in turn makes them more likely to take part in the poll.
#2. Sign Up for a few CPA c networks who have email offers
Email submits pay from $.50c to $1.30 when someone enters their email address only. The offers are free for your visitor to take part in. Generally the visitor get free product or a discount voucher in return for supplying their email address. Azoogle, Affiliate.com, Hydra Media, Flux Ads, XY7, NeverBlue Ads, Ourfreestuff and Canadian Sponsors all offer email submits.
#3. Setup an Ad Campaign in Google Adwords
Fire up an ad on the content network where the traffic is a lot cheaper. Start with your bid at about .20cents then bid it down to around 10cents or lower.
Googles adwords is theme based not keyword based. So go to your favourite keyword tool and generate a good thousand keywords. Break them into groups of 50 and use them in your Adwords campaign.
#4. Create A Landing Page
Traffic is sent from Google to the landing page where visitors are invited to take a survey. They click on the option they choose from the survey and are directed to the offer page as a free gift for completing the survey. Once the visitor enters their email they get the free gift and you get paid.
For a successful campaign the numbers might look a bit like this:
- Assume average cost per keyword is 8 cents.
- Say 12% of visitors will submit their email and the offer pays $1.30.
- So 100 visitors would cost $8. If 12 of them submit their email you would be paid $15.6
- In rough terms you would more than double your money on a successful campaign.
Sounds easy but its not
- Allow for 30% of your campaigns to be unsuccessfull
- You need to kill unsuccessful campaigns quickly to stay in profit over-all
- Since the polls are based around an event, the campaigns generally only work short term, you need to be always adding new campaigns to keep bringing in the money.
Some people make a lot of money with this method. Its been around for a long time.
In the link below Stephen claims to be making $3,000 to $5,000 per month with this method.
Generally people fail because :
- They don’t have the right tools – you need to automate everything to be able to generate lots of polls
- They dont have the right knowledge about how to go about it
- They are not prepared to work hard enough
There is a pretty good thread about this technique here. Steven who started the thread is doing a soft sell to get you to buy his ebook and then join PPC coach.
